My friend Wai had a second story to share:
Second student is Samuel Maniyan. His father is a pastor and his 2 sisters are married to pastors. Samuel is a very studious and hardworking. He has a heart for God and wants to devote his life to ministry. Samuel has his Bachelors of Theology and Bachelors of Arts in India. He was awarded with a full scholarship to attend Celebration Bible College in St Catherines where he obtained a ministry diploma. Samuel is now a Tyndale Seminary student in the process of completing his Masters of Divinity at Tyndale University. Samuel wants to go back to India after graduation to do church planting work where he will devote his life to ministry as a pastor. Samuel does not receive financial support from his parents; they are not able to help him. He funds his own education by working on campus both in the library and doing maintenance work, however, it is not enough to support his tuition, board and meals. Samuel only eats two meals a day to conserve his finances. The financial burden is so great that sometimes he finds it hard to concentrate on his studies as his future at Tyndale seems unsettle. As Samuel continues to rely on God for daily provisions, we ask that you also be involved in helping Samuel.

I got this from my friend Wai, who works for Tyndale. Here’s the story she wanted to share:
One of the students is a first year UC student from Kenya. Joshua Okello is a 2nd youngest of a family for 14 siblings…he lost two sisters to AIDS and both his parents are deceased. He came to Tyndale by faith, as he felt that God has called him to come study here so he can go back and minister to his own people. Joshua Okello needs our help as he only came with $2000 and he recently ran out of money on his meal card. His brother (who lives in Kenya) recently was robbed and cannot help Joshua with the outstanding amount for his tuition. If he doesn’t find the funding to pay off his fall semester he will be sent back to Kenya.
Can you help Joshua?
